HeroThemes, the company behind the Heroic KB and Heroic Inbox plugins, has released a new product called HelpJet: a standalone AI support chatbot designed to train on your own documentation and answer customer questions automatically, 24 hours a day.
What HelpJet Does
Rather than relying on a generic knowledge base, HelpJet ingests your existing content and uses it to respond to visitors. You can feed it private SOPs, help articles, PDF files, or live URLs from your WordPress site. When pointing it at a WordPress URL, the tool asks which post types to include, then pulls the content and trains on it. The system re-scans connected sites weekly to stay current, and you can trigger a manual refresh at any time from the dashboard.
Beyond basic Q&A, HelpJet is built to understand WooCommerce data specifically. It can read product variations, stock levels, shipping classes, and tax rules, allowing it to give shoppers precise answers about inventory and delivery rather than generic responses.
Escalation and Learning
When a question falls outside what the bot can handle, HelpJet routes the conversation to a human agent. The notable detail here is that the bot learns from those agent responses over time, meaning questions it could not answer initially may be handled automatically in future sessions.
Embedding on WordPress
Installation on a WordPress site works through a dedicated plugin. Once activated, a floating chat widget appears on the site. You can position the widget in any corner of the screen, embed the chatbot inside specific posts using a dedicated block, or place it via shortcode. HelpJet also integrates with BigCommerce, Shopify, and Webflow.
Analytics and Testing
The dashboard surfaces conversation volume, satisfaction rate, and resolution rate. Every interaction is tagged by sentiment, and each answer can receive a thumbs up or down from the customer. Before going live, a built-in preview environment lets you test the bot’s responses and adjust tone and behavior without exposing real visitors to an under-trained model.
